I wanted some inexpensive and upcycled cactus inspired decorations for a project I’m doing so I turned to Pinterest. Voilà cardboard cacti in tins! All you need is cardboard, some sharp scissors, tins and if you want spray paint. I went for different sized tins for a more interesting display.
The cardboard I had was a lovely rich brown so I decided to keep it natural but you can of course paint it. I cut out cactus shapes and then the slits so they could slot together to make 3D shapes.
I chose to spray paint the tins orange with Rust-oleum Painter’s Touch.
Here they are. Easy peasy.
